Before you drive
- Check that the odometer and fuel level match what you were told
- Check that there are 2 straps in the box
- Take photos all the way around the van
- Adjust mirrors, seat and air conditioning, and find the hazard lights

How to use the moving van
A checklist from when you pick up the van until you return it. The same information is in the van.
While driving
- The van runs on diesel. Expect about 6 km/l
- The van has 6 gears. Avoid both too high and too low revs. Going uphill or heavy load: shift down
- Smoking is not allowed in the van
- Animals are allowed on your own blanket. Animal hair must be removed
The tail lift
- Switch on the lift with the red button to the left of the steering wheel
- The lift can now be operated from the side of the box
- Keep the engine idling while using the lift, so the battery is not drained
- After using the remote control, switch it off with the black button. Then the controls on the side of the box work again
- The lift takes 750 kg in the centre. No forklift or front wheels on the lift
- Do not leave the remote control outside the van. It costs 1000 kr
Remember to switch off the lift and the light in the box after use.
When you return the van
- Park the van where you picked it up
- Refuel to the same amount of diesel as when you picked it up
- Take photos of the odometer and fuel level, and all around the van, inside and out. Send them in the MMS thread
- Check that the 2 straps are in the box and hooked up. Missing straps cost 500 kr each.
- Tidy up the cab and the box
- Lock the key in the key box again and scramble the code
- By 7:30 the morning after the rental day. Extra km (3.50 kr/km) are paid right after
The van is big
3.40 m high · 2.45 m wide · approx. 7 m long
The van is long, wide and high. Watch out for bridges, overhangs and low branches.
So remember: it is fine to ask for help. It is fine to take an extra look. Anything it takes to avoid damaging the van or other people's property is more than fine.
Accident or breakdown
- In an accident: take photos and get the other party's licence number, number plate, insurance company, name and address
- If it is the other party's fault, get a written admission with a signature. If they refuse, call the police on 112
- Roadside assistance: call FALCK on +45 70 10 20 30. Give the number plate and customer number 5186 1263
- The van will be taken to Vestermarksvej 7, 6600 Vejen. Call us on +45 22 60 56 60
- If the breakdown is your own fault, the excess is 250 kr. There is no roadside assistance outside Denmark
